The term ‘bull market’ means different things to different people who makes stock investment. Once we define a bull market we can figure out whether it is about to end. A 20% move is commonly used to delineate a change of direction (a 20% drop is a new bear market and vice versa). The S&P (^GSPC – News) has rallied as much as 30% since the October 2011 low and more than 113% since the March 2009 low. So when did the new bull market start? In 2009 or 2011? How long will it last?
