WASHINGTON (MNI) - The following is the text of the RealtyTrac May report on U.S. foreclosure activity published Thursday: RealtyTrac (www.realtytrac.com), the leading online marketplace for foreclosure properties, today released its U.S. Foreclosure Market Report for May 2012, which shows foreclosure filings – default notices, scheduled auctions and bank repossessions – were reported on 205,990 U.S. properties in May, an increase of 9 percent from April but still down 4 percent from May 2011. The report also shows one in every 639
U.S. housing units with a foreclosure filing during the month.
