Policy makers are weighing options to counter the turmoil that has forced five euro-area nations to seek external aid, eroded investor confidence and pushed companies to trim their workforces. European Central Bank President Mario Draghi, who met with U.S. Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithneryesterday in Frankfurt, has pledged to do everything to preserve the euro.


You can inspect a house in and out, but the fact is that there are going to be hidden problems in about half of your investments. Make sure that you’ve got some capital to work with in case there are fixes that need to be put in place immediately, especially if they control whether or not a house is livable. Several investors have had to swallow their pride because they didn’t have any funds to fix up a property that needed it. These losses are tough to take, and if it’s your first property, it could ruin your plans.
