Breyer still personally holds 7.2 million Facebook shares in the trust that sold shares last week. (He also owns additional shares outside of that trust.) FORBES in March peggedBreyer’s net worth at $1.1 billion.
In addition, Accel Partners distributed 22,123,009 Class A Facebook shares to its limited partners in various funds, according to the SEC filing. At Wednesday’s closing stock price, those shares would be worth about $467 million. Though it is not clear if or when Accel’s limited partners have sold those shares.
Breyer famously put his firm Accel Partners on the of the venture capital heap with theinvestment in Harvard dropout Mark Zuckerberg.
Meanwhile, Facebook just posted earnings that slightly topped expectations sending its stock price soaring. The stock is still way down from its IPO price of $38 per share and the company and been seeking to show Wall Street that the company’s prospects are bright due to growing monetization on mobile devices....
